Sing-Sing and Bertrand

19 April 2008

We did a recce at Sing-Sing today, our KTH-sponsored venue to finalize our logistical planning for Hej V, and boy, what a place it is! Absolutely THE place to have a relaxed yet stimulating discussion, in my opinion! Our thanks go out to KTH for their generous sponsorship.

We also met Bertrand from Laeterna Machina, who'll be showcasing his work on interactive visuals. Showed us this "maigc coat" of his that looks perfectly like any other coat, but is used to control screen interaction! We're looking hard for projection screens so that we can have the best setup possible for Bertrand during Hej Världen!, so if you have any leads out there where we can get big projection screens, let us know!

World Book Day @ Second House of Sweden

22 April 2008

We just got wind from Åke Nygren, who is the Swedish Coordinator for the LiteraTour in Library 2.0, about the World Book Day at the Second House of Sweden, and it's happening tomorrow! 2pm - 5pm.

If you haven't been there, download Second Life, and get to the Second House of Sweden!

Ooo! And Åke's involved in some other virtual worlds projects too...we'll keep this for later ;-)
