Lars Öjefors

Dr Lars Öjefors has retired from his position as the president of Industrifonden (Swedish Industrial Development Fund) in early 2005. Industrifonden is a major player on the Swedish venture capital market. It was set up as a foundation by the Swedish government in 1979 to finance Swedish companies and help them grow. To-date, Industrifonden has invested a total capital of 1,675 million SEK in 260 companies.

Prior to joining Industrifonden, Dr Öjefors held key leadership positions at Axel Johnson AB and NYDO Co with interests in the energy and environment sectors. He received his PhD in Chemical Technology from the Swedish Royal

Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, KTH) in 1975. Today, Dr Öjefors continues to play an active role in the Swedish industrial and research sectors and holds a number of board appointments. He chairs a fuel cells research program under MISTRA, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research. He is also the chairman of Connect Sweden, an organization that links entrepreneurs to resources and network essential for growing a business.

Magnus Rehn

Magnus Rehn

Magnus Rehn has worked in roles such as sales and marketing director, president and served on the boards of companies and has been very successful but also had a mission to rescue the company which was undergoing reorganization. He was involved in setting up businesses in the past. In the role as CEO of various companies typically worked with international marketing, business development, rehabilitation and organisation building-up.He has worked in the U.S. and Germany, mainly different technology industries such as banking technology, telecommunications, software (operating systems and development tools) and RFID technology.






Leif Erlandsson (Entrans AB)
Leif Erlandsson is marketing manager of Entrans AB. Entrans uses waste heat for producing electricity, district heating or cooling. All process industries generate waste heat which can be used for energy production instead of being dumped as is today. Shipping industry can reduce its oil consumption by approx 8-10 % by using waste cooling water to produce electricity, heating or cooling for the ships need. Heat pump plants that are idle during the warm season can produce electrical energy or district cooling with the heating not needed.



Karl Bohman (Predect AB)
Karl Bohman is the CEO of Predect AB. Predect provides an Online Water Protection system that measures water quality in real time and automatically takes a sample if there is a deviation. Potential micro-organisms such as bacteria and parasites that normally slip through filters, are detected early on and epidemia outbreaks can be avoided. The system is also used to ensure adequate water quality in recycled water, addressing water shortage problems in many parts of the world.


Ewa Grzechnik (Sustainable Technologies Fund)
Ewa is an analyst in Sustainable Technologies Fund. It is a private equity growth fund seeking investment opportunities in companies with Sustainable Technologies, also for “Cleantech”.


Anders Pettersson (Sweden Green Tech Building (SGTB))
Anders is a project Manager at the SGTB. The project is an initiative by Swedish industry and is run as an independent project on a non-profit-making basis. There is a Steering Group, made up of the main partners and a chairman, which sets out the guiding principles for the project with the operative work being carried out by the appointed project manager. The project’s finances are scrutinized by independent auditors.


Mr Lim Tse Yong (Singapore Economic Development Board (SEDB))
Mr Lim is the director of nordic region for SEDB. SEDB is the lead government agency responsible for planning and executing strategies to enhance Singapore’s position as a global business centre and grow the Singapore economy. EDB designs and delivers solutions that create value for investors and companies in Singapore.


Mr Lau Joo Ming (Housing Development Board (HDB) Singapore Building Research Institute)

Mr Lau is the Managing Director of HDB Building Research Institute. He was the Chief Structural Engineer of HDB (1988 to 2003), responsible for building over 800,000 flats. He is presently the Director of Building Technology, tasked to provide innovative solutions and professional building services in enhancing quality and building service life of public housing and facilities. A Fellow of the Institute of Engineers (Singapore), the Institute of Civil Engineers (UK) and the Institute of Structural Engineers (UK), Mr Lau received the Public Administration Bronze Medal in 1983 and the Silver in 1993 for his role in Singapore’s public housing programme.


Professor Armin G. ABERLE (Deputy CEO and Director of Silicon Photovoltaics Programme, Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore)

Professor Armin has been the Deputy CEO of Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIES)since May, 2008 and is a professor at the National University of Singapore. He won the IAG Eureka Prize for Innovative Solutions to Climate Change (awarded by the Australian Museum to School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering, UNSW). Some of his current research involves photovoltaic energy conversion, thin-film solar wafers and light trapping in silicon thin-film solar cells.


Mr Clarence Tan (Managing Director, The Green Car Company )

Mr Clarence Tan is the managing director of The Green Car Company. He graduated in Mechatronics from Temasek Polytechnic in 2002 and he started The Green Car Company  because he wants to mass produce “the world’s cheapest electric cars” in Singapore. He is a passionate and innovative entrepreneur that dreams of a cleaner transport for tomorrow.


Roy, Tan Keng Hong (Advon (Singapore))

Advon Singapore is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aik Moh Paints & Chemicals Pte Ltd, focusing on Environmental products & services with the use of clean energy and new technologies. Advon is set up in September 2008. Our initial focus is to commercialise a patented technology, the Adsorption Desalination System, developed by National University of Singapore (NUS) and two Japanese Universities.


Mr Aloysius Cheong (OliveGreen marketing)

Mr Aloysius Cheong is the director of Olivegreen marketing, Olivegreen is a distributor in Cornware and seeks to market biodegradable packaging solutions to the mass market.


Professor Dr. Joachim Luther

CEO, Solar Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS)

Professor Joachim is the Chief Executive Officer of the Solar Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) from April 2008. He has been conferred the special service award by the International Solar Energy Society in 2005, and selected by TIME Magazine as the “Hero of the Environment”, TIME October 6, 2008.
